I used to grow most of our food when I had a family but now with just my son & me, I only grow those foods that are special to me or I can't find in our markets. And since I live in a part of Canada that doesn't get long hot summers (but does have one of the longest growing seasons), some of what I used to grow, doesn't grow as well here unless one has a greenhouse to extend the heat & season.

My favourites for growing now are the long sweet beets, sugar snap peas, green beans, green onions (scallions), & tomatoes plus various herbs & some greens for salads.

Please let us know what plants you grow for food. Adding comments to the survey are much welcomed! Razz

We grow cu(edited)bers, tomatoes, herbs, grapes, apples. Not much else. The squirrels get all of our filberts and strawberries.
